History

1975 - William Horton launched Los Angeles-based Fitness Systems, a leading provider of corporate health and fitness program management.

1981 - Loren Brink founded Health Fitness Consultants, a corporate fitness center management company, to later change its name to Health Fitness Corporation.

1994 - Health Fitness Corporation becomes one of the first publicly traded corporate health management companies. The company's annual revenue is $3.6 million.

1995 - Health Fitness acquires Fitness Systems and increases the number of fitness centers managed by the company from 36 to more than 100.

2003 - Health Fitness Corporation acquires Johnson & Johnson Health Care System's Health & Fitness Services Division, expands to 385 managed sites and increases annual revenue to $31.5 million.

2005 - Health Fitness Corporation acquires HealthCalc.Net to expand health management capabilities with robust technology, and increases annual revenue to $54.9 million.

2007 - Gregg Lehman, a nationally recognized leader in the health management sector of the health care industry, joins as president/CEO.

Company renames as HealthFitness, combining the two parts of our name to reflect our strength as an integrated health and productivity management firm, dedicated to improving health along the continuum of care. Annual revenue reaches $69.9 million.

HealthFitness forms a Science Advisory Board of independent nationally recognized experts to ensure quality and relevance of our solutions.

2009 - HealthFitness is the largest provider of health management solutions with 3200-plus associates and 300-plus client locations.
